One of the most
picturesque spots of the Old Part of
Pamplona stands on the Baluarte (bastion) of El Redín, the walled part of the city that can be visited with guides, as the fortifications of Pamplona are included in the
Route of Castles and Fortresses.
The viewpoint is a
large balcony from which you can see the horizon through 180º. There are great views over the river Arga, the suburbs of La Rochapea and La Chantrea, and the Paseo de Ronda. The area is now a public park, and its proximity to the city centre means that visitors can enjoy a walk around the Old Part of Pamplona, the Bull Run and the bars that serve
pinchos (tapas) and wines from Navarre.
