Día del Hierro en Urdazubir/Urdax In this fiesta the residents of Urdazubi/Urdax commemorate the arrival of iron ore from the mines of Bizkaia at the gates of the Monastery of San Salvador de Urdax, transported on ox carts. The iron was sent to the monastery forge, where the monks checked it for quality, and then, after the customary haggling, a fair price was agreed on.

Visitors can see a dramatisation of this tradition and enjoy the market of handicrafts and local produce, as well as other activities for all members of the public to make the day complete.
