Located in the heart of Navarre,
18 kilometres from Tafalla, the mediaeval town of
Larraga rises up on a hill. It is well-known for breeding steers, so a festive day is dedicated to them one
weekend in July.
Among the most outstanding events are the bull runs with
young bulls, andbull fighting spectacles with specialist bull-dodging acrobats and
guided tours of the city.
Music, the
procession of the giants and the cabezudos, the
traditional market, the
communal meal and the
bull of fire are other highlights of this festive day.
