An Ancient Music Week is held in the
first two weeks of September in
Estella-Lizarra, a beautiful city of Roman origin located on the Pilgrim's Way to Santiago.
Every year lovers of this genre meet in the
church of San Miguel, whose Romanesque northern front is one of the best in Navarre.
The programme covers historical music prior to the classicism of the 18
th century and includes top-class performers, chamber groups and soloists of international renown specialising in
Medieval, Renaissance and Baroque music, offering concerts, conferences and performances of music and dance.
The Estella Early Music Week belongs to REMA (European Early Music Network).
