A mediaeval village located on a hill with a strong defensive profile, which offers a view through 360º towards the river Aragón, the Pyrenees, the foothills of the Pyrenees and Sangüesa, and the area around Ujué. About 30 people still live there, but the majority of the village's inhabitants settled in Gallipienzo Nuevo down on the plain, but its narrow and steep streets fill up at weekends and in summer with the local people and visitors.
There is a panel explaining the village's history, and an urban path to visit places of interest: the Romanesque bridge, the remains of the old castle, the church of San Salvador with its Romanesque crypt or the Bird Observatory, which has impressive views over the river Aragón and the Nature Reserve of Kaparreta, where there is a strong presence of migratory birds.
