A spectacular viewpoint opposite the steep face of the Malloas
mountains, the hamlets of the valley of Araitz
and the Araxes river basin
. Access is along a forest track that starts behind the village church in Betelu and goes up the mountainside along a steep slope and among dense trees. The walk from the village to the viewpoint takes about 20 minutes.
The route is part of an old circular path that crosses the oak wood of Betelu
, the northernmost one in Europe, and a Mediterranean forest more characteristic of the south of the country thank this area. It is suitable for anyone who is used to walking a little, although it cannot be done with wheelchairs because the path is of gravel.
