This winery started marketing wine in bulk in 1956. In 1976 it started bottling its wines under the "Viña Sardasol" label.
The Virgen Blanca Bodega has 510 hectares of vineyards of Tempranillo, Garnacha, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes which means it does not have to depend on fluctuations in the grape market when it comes to setting prices and can offer consumers a homogenous, invariable wine as it always comes from the same vines.
The bodega produces white, rosé and red wines. Although its leading brand is "Viña Sardasol", it has recently launched a new line, "Selección Viña Sardasol", to market its single varietal Crianza wines (Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot), which are spearheading the bodega's bottled range. The range of young wines is marketed under the "Campo Lagaza" label.
