Located above the famous
Irati forest, at 13.5 km from
Ochagavía and at a mean altitude of 1,400 metres, this is an ideal base for practising mountain sports and for enjoying nature all year round.
Bikes, skis and snowshoes can be hired at the central building, where there is also a cafeteria-bar-restaurant service. An outdoor car park is available, just 100 metres before reaching the Centre.
IN WINTER
The centre offers around
22 skiable kilometres for beginners and a snowshoe piste. For expert skiers, there is a piste of some 16 kilometres. All these trails start at the Centre itself.
Cross-country skiing pistes:
- Cerrillar: 4,5 kilometres.
- Cruz de Osaba: 8 kilometres.
- Zamukadoia: 9 kilometres.
- Koixta: 16 kilometres (only experts).
IN SPRING, SUMMER AND AUTUMNStarting out from the Centre, you can do
trekking and discover different corners of the Irati Forest, climb the Orhi Mountain and other Pyrenean peaks. It is also an ideal base for practising
MTB.
