Description
Relatively small, elegant bird with long tail. Black and white at first sight with black wings and legs, and pale body, but also has sandy-yellow colouring on crown, back and breast. White-based tail with black, inverted T. Male has a black facemask, some with pale gular region and others with black gular region. Females have dark, but not entirely black wings. Their faces do not have black and, in general, they are browner.
Similar species
Northern Wheatear, particularly females and young examples.

Nature: estival.

Description: pájaro relativamente pequeño, elegante y cola alargada. A primera vista blanquinegro, con alas y patas negras y cuerpo pálido, pero coloración amarillo-arenoso pálida en coronilla, espalda y pecho. Cola de base blanca con T invertida negra. Los machos con antifaz negro, algunos con garganta pálida y otros negra. Las hembras con alas oscuras, pero no del todo negras, cara sin negro y en general más pardas.

Similar species: Collalba gris, sobre todo hembras y juveniles.
