Navarre cannot be fully understood without its Santiago Way
. This summer it is possible to pay a free visit to 37 churches and monasteries
dotted along the three branches that cross the region: the Baztán Way
, the Route of the Ebro
, and of course, the French Way
It is a unique opportunity, as 14 of the 37 monuments
are usually closed, and now, in over summer they open their doors and give us the chance to get to know them. The others are open to the public all year round.
Well-known monuments such as the Pamplona Cathedral
or that of Tudela
, the Collegiate of Roncesvalles
, San Pedro de la Rua in Estella-Lizarra
, Santa María in Los Arcos
, the Santo Sepulcro of Torres del Río
, the Monastery of Leyre
and other lesser-known treasures such as the Church of San Esteban in Zabaldica
or the Trinidad of Arre
, the Church of San Román in Cirauqui
or the Church of the Asunción in Villatuerta
, among others, open their doors wide to receive visitors.
Make the most of this opportunity and come and discover our heritage.
