This is a fun rural sporting competition held every year on the 27th
of August as part of the festivities in honour of the patron saint of Marcilla.
It takes place in the moat of the castle
and the implement used is a Bellota 320 hoe, known as an "asparagus hoe". It weighs 1.5 kg and has a wooden handle measuring 70 cm.
The record of 37.6 metres is held by former local athlete David Miqueleiz.
