The Gorge Interpretation Centre in the pre-Pyrenean town of Lumbier aims to disseminate information on these spectacular canyons and the unique ecosystems associated with them. The Lumbier and Arbaiun gorges were carved out by the Irati and Salazar rivers respectively, whose waters flow down from the Navarrese Pyrenees, and they house an important colony of Griffon vultures; the colony in the Arbaiun gorge is one of the largest on the Iberian Peninsula.

The Gorge Interpretation Centre is located in the centre of Lumbier and has three floors featuring the following contents:
Ground floor. Reception and general information on the centre and the region. Interpretation area dedicated to the gorges and the countryside, inhabitants and trades in the Lumbier basin. There is also material of tourist and environmental interest, with website documents, books, magazines and videos.

First floor. Main exhibition room, giving a more in-depth look at the social, natural, historical and cultural aspects of the county, with special emphasis on the unique and unusual features of the Lumbier and Arbaiun gorges.

Second floor. Recreational zone and Library: an area dedicated to entertainment with individual and group games, books and stories. By going through the 'tunnel of senses' labyrinth, visitors can learn about the area through smells and aromas, tactile sensations and different sounds, visions and perceptions.
