This village stands at the bottom of the foothills of the Leyre range, just a few kilometres from the Yesa reservoir and monumental Sangüesa.

Its houses are overlooked from on high by the parish church of Santa María de la Asunción. Next to the church you will find houses with baroque coats of arms, revealing a whole tradition of noble families here.

Near the village, opposite the Lumbier gorge overlooking the river Irati are the ruins of the Roman city of Liédena from the 2nd and 3rd centuries BC.Sangüesa.
