This is a sweet wine that is ideal for aperitifs and desserts. The origins of this alcoholic drink go back to the distant past, when wine-making was a very rudimentary process. Nowadays, the processes have evolved considerably and the result is a smoother and more aromatic wine than the one produced in the past.

It is obtained from small white grapes and was popular coming the Ancient Greeks and Romans. It is made following a very similar process to the one used to produce white wine. The final result is a sweet and highly digestive wine. Mahogany-coloured muscatel of the "Goya" type and white "Ochoa" are the perfect end to any meal. If the temperature of the fortified wine is not too high, it is usually served with ice to slightly offset the sweetness and highlight its flavour. It is a delight for the palate.
