Príncipe de Viana

Bodegas Príncipe de Viana was founded in 1983 and opened its first winery in Murchante. The current bodega was built next door and is equipped with the most modern technology, holding the ISO 9002 quality certificate from AENOR. This certificate reflects the importance that the company places on every one of its production and marketing phases.
In 1996 it became the top exporter of D.O. Navarra bottled wines, a position it still holds to this day.
Its two main brands are "Príncipe de Viana" and "Agramont". The first is reserved for its high-end wines, which are made from new grape varieties of French origin: mainly Cabernet Sauvignon and Chardonnay. "Agramont" is the brand used for its young wines, which are made using indigenous Navarrese varieties: Tempranillo, Garnacha and Viura. It also markets a very select Reserva under the "Príncipe de Viana 1423" label which commemorates the year when King Carlos III the Noble instigated the Principality of Viana in honour of his grandson, Carlos de Evreux.
