Founded in 1856 on a winery that dated back to the 17th century, this bodega has specialised in making red, white, rosé and sweet muscatel wine since its beginnings.
In 1987 the Aragonese company Arturo Beltrán bought 91.66% of the bodega's capital which currently has 42 hectares of vineyards, some 465 casks and a capacity of 1,689,000 litres of wine. In the last few years the bodega has been enhanced with quality improvements in the new bottling facilities.
The bodega predominantly makes red, rosé and white wines. "Montecristi" is the brand name of its dry wines. Its muscatels are worthy of a special mention and have given the company its unique personality, the flagship of which is the "Capricho de Goya", followed in order of quality by "Montecristo", "Goya" and "Rayo de Sol", the last two of which are not covered by the D.O. Navarre.
